i’m an NYC photographer capturing the stories and charisma of the people I shoot
Always a photographer at heart, I spent the first part of my career as a social scientist. My PhD in sociology deepened my thinking about how people present themselves and how culture shapes how we read images.
I work to craft images that invite the viewer to linger—to discover humor, emotion, energy and nuance beneath the surface. I merge a naturalistic approach with thoughtful composition and bold color to create portraits that feel contemporary, human and distinctly New York City.
